Media Alert #1: Accreditation
Portsmouth (England) – 1 August 2008 – the online accreditation service for the Volvo Ocean Race is now open. All media wishing to receive information on the event, whether planning to visit a port or not, will need to accredit.
Please go to: http://www.volvooceanrace.org/mediainfo/ and choose Accreditation which is at the top of the page. You will then find two options:
On-site Accreditation (for media intending to visit a stopover port)
If you are planning to visit a port, as well as receive race information, you will need to have an accreditation pass, with your photograph on it. To do this, please choose the left hand option and follow the instructions.
Race Information and Press Releases (for media wanting to receive information via email)
If you are not visiting a port, but require race information on a regular basis, please choose the right hand option. You can opt to receive information daily or weekly, including crew blogs. You can change your chosen service once the race is underway if you find you are receiving too much or too little information.
Please note that if you have not subscribed to this service, you will not receive race information beyond 30 September.
Race information and crew blogs will available for download from race information area at http://press.volvooceanrace.org.

http://images.volvooceanrace.org. Images are available royalty-free for editorial use.
